As more and more customer know about the advantages of making screw as well as the world demands increase, orders of mesh belt carburising and quenching furnace have increased significantly. Since last year, we have manufactured mesh belt carburising and quenching furnace for screw companies from India, Russia, Indonesia, Egypt etc. Some of customers to replace their screw old method furnace. There are also several orders waiting for production. It is proved that screw mesh belt carburising and quenching furnace will be an important trend of in the future!
Today i will introduce how is the screw making!
Screw process flow
1. Wire rod process.
Refers to the original wire rod purchased by the raw material manufacturer. A plate element mainly includes the following parameters: A, brand B, product name C, specification D, material E, furnace number or batch number F, quantity or weight.
The main chemical components of carbon steel rod materials are: C, Mn, P, S, Si, Cu, Al, and the lower the content of Cu and Al, the better.
2. Wire drawing process
Wire drawing process: In order to achieve the wire diameter we need (such as to 3.5mm wire drawing).
3.1 Cold heading (heading) process
Cold heading (heading) process: through the interaction between the molds to shape it. First cut the wire and upset into a screw blank to form the head, cross groove (or other head type) thread blank diameter and rod length, head Under rounded corners.
Description: It can be designed according to customer's needs. The commonly used head types are P head, B head, F head and T head. Commonly used groove types are cross groove, straight groove, plum blossom groove, internal hexagonal groove, etc.

The cold-headed blank is rolled out of the thread (through the interaction of the movable tooth plate and the fixed tooth plate, the tooth pattern is formed.)

5. Heat treatment process
Purpose: In order to make the screw get higher hardness and strength after cold heading
Result:Improve the mechanical properties of metal parts, such as torsion, tensile and wear resistance.
Classification:
A. Annealing: (700℃x 4hr): elongated structure-regular polygonalization.
B. Carburizing heat treatment (adding carbon elements to metal parts to improve their surface hardness, for metal materials with low carbon content)
C. Quenching and tempering heat treatment (without adding elements to the metal, changing the internal structure of the metal with temperature changes to obtain better mechanical properties)
6. Electroplating process
The electroplated product surface can show the desired color effect and surface anti-oxidation coating effect.
At this step, a small screw is formed and can be sold!
